Once upon a time in Vegas (which is the start to all great stories), I went to a topless revue where the dancers were all vampires. That's right, vampire strippers. How could you pass up such an opportunity? I could not. I don't know what I expected from the vampire stripper show: they really tried to be classy and goth and there was a convoluted storyline involving the Head Vampire and a planted cast member from the audience. There was even a ballet number at one point (because vampire strippers need to prove that they are classier than your average stripper) but when the real action started, I was surprised to hear that she was dancing to ZZ Top's "Legs" and then another vampire danced to Warrant's "Cherry Pie."

"Wow," I said to my companion, "Who'da thought that undead strippers were into classic rock just like regular strippers?"

I needed some fresh tunes to kick off the Lazy Waister's Triathlon and found that this quick and easy, rough and dirty playlist is just what I need to make my feet eat those miles quickly. Need some musical inspiration yourself? Check out these tunes, and then warn the people at the gym that they'd better get out of your way.

Pssst...in case you weren't aware, Father's Day is upon us, which means that there will be loads of summer barbecues and gift opportunities this weekend. Need a soundtrack for the weekend (or a cheap creative gift of a Mix Tape/CD for your dad or baby daddy)? We've got your back. Bonus: these tunes are all infinitely rockable, so you can also use it to keep a skip in your step during your workout this week!

It's summer! Okay, it's not really summer, not until June 21, but honestly? It's summer. And in honor of summer, it's time to freshen up your current playlist along with your wardrobe. But honestly, I'm just so in love with this Sohodolls song "Stripper" that I needed to build a rocking, ass-shaking playlist, just to keep it company.

We love this planet and we know that you do too, so grab a Sigg and your Simple sneakers and get outside today and enjoy it! Here are some eco-friendly tunes to inspire a trash-finding expedition around the neighborhood.

Hey, it's tax day in the U.S. April15, which means that you've probably already mailed your stuff in (or are going to be doing it tonight...procrastinator) or are filing for an extension (super procrastinator!).  But in case you want to shake off a little of that tax-centric stress and go for a quick walk around the block/neighborhood/city to clear your head, here's a playlist that feels your pain.

Can I say something right now? I have a bit of a cover song fetish. It started a very long time ago, with a rendition of "My Sharona" by Alvin and the Chipmunks, a version I still argue is a wee bit better than the original. I jumped from the excellent Camper Van Beethoven's "Pictures of Matchstick Men" to Kylie Minogue's "Locomotion" and have honestly jeopardized friendships with my assertion that I enjoy "Sweet Jane" less when it is sung by Lou Reed (even though I'm a huge Lou Reed fan) because there is an element of languid torpor that I crave in my dysfunctional woman songs and the Cowboy Junkies hit the sweet spot. But that's just me.

Thus, in honor of April Fool's Day, we're serving up a super-sized helping of audio tomfoolery. Here are 40 totally classic songs that have been switched up a little, to some delightful results. And who knows? You just might realize that something was missing in your life and that something was the amped up, speed guitar version of "Rainbow Connection".

Today is opening day of the 2008 Major League Baseball season, and we know that you're probably not able to get out to the opening game (the season opener is happening in Japan), but we've pulled together a baseball inspired playlist to spice up your workday (or workout). Not that you needed an excuse to crack open a beer and have a footlong for dinner, but there you go!

Hey, it's Saint Patty's Day! And it's not all green beer and leprechauns. The Irish have given the world some incredible music and we know that nothing gets you in the mood to stomp a little like some rocking Uilleann pipe action (those are those pipes that make everything sound like the steerage party scene on Titanic). Don't lie, we both know that you try some Riverdance moves when no one is watching.

If you're like Kim, the whole spring forward thing has thrown you for a loop too. It's so much harder to get up in the morning, especially when the entire world is experiencing mild jetlag. However, we aren't going to leave you wiping the sleep out of your eyes! Here's a playlist that understands that you just don't want to get out of bed quite yet, there there, baby, it's okay, but it's still time to get up and be human.
