![]() Assuming that you already figured out the whole pesky genetic issue, guess how much it would cost you to look like Jennifer Aniston? Try about $21,000 per month, according to the National Enquirer (who are totally reliable, yup, sure are) for cellulite treatments, high end exclusive training sessions and a celebrity yoga instructor, and also, of course, her own personal chef. And that's just all for stuff happening below the neck, because you only have to watch the first season of Friends to realize that she doesn't achieve that perfect blonde coiffure naturally. I hate to be judgey (okay, I love it, whatevs) but wow, that's a lot of money. If those figures are accurate, each year Miss Thang is spending what basically amounts to four years of tuition at Harvard on yoga, salads and thigh scrubbing. Let's talk morality for a second: would it be worse if she were spending the money on fancy gowns and shoes? Does the fact that she's doing it for her health absolve her of any responsibility to use her money reasonably and perhaps--dare I ask--use it to do good? What do you think? How much money is a reasonable amount to spend in the quest for being healthy and fit? And at what point do you say, "Oh my God, please stop it!" Maybe she just hasn't read Divine Caroline's suggestion for getting fit on five bucks. 4 CommentsLeave a comment |

Well it is her money to spend as she wishes, I guess, but wouldn't it be nice if the rich people helped out the poor people once in a while, and quit worrying about how their thighs look in a bikini?
21,000 is nothing compair to what she have, if i were her i would do the same or more. come on it's my mony and i'll do what ever i want. her buty is all what she has.
I can't say I agree with the other comments. 21,000 clams is a lot to shell out (haha) on purely superficial things. Honestly, it's pretty ridiculous. I mean, I understand that it is her money to spend the way she wishes and she's uber rich, so she can afford it, but I just can't even begin to comprehend why in the world that money would be used that way and not in a more generous way. Obviously I'm not saying she's a greedy monster who hoards all of her money to spend on herself either, I'm sure she does very generous things with her wealth, but I don't think I could ever justify spending that much just to look good. Yuck. The world would be a whole lot more beautiful if people started working on the inside and not caring as much about what's on the outside.
Her appearance is her saleable commodity. (Well, it isn't like she can act.) It is a revenue-generating asset and must be protected and maintained in top-of-the-line condition. And when you are 39 and competing with late teens and early 20s, that does not come cheap. She is, like it or not, caught in the middle of modern American celebrity, held to an impossible ideal. And I'm sure it is awfully hard to be objective about your choices when you are in that position.
It would be interesting to see how much Clooney or Pitt spend a month--or how much John Mayer spends, for that matter.
