Damn, women take one stop forward and two steps back. Sad. I guess they could refuse.
I went to a Liberty game recently and they scored their all time high points against another good team. Didn't see a thing about it on the news. Guess they were only women. It's bad enough they get paid a fraction of what men get for the same job, but to not even to get recognition when they excel, stinks.
It's nice to see a man who gets it, meaning he understands women can be athletes or sex symbols or both or neither. The point is women have the choice, a business choice, and everyone else should mind their own business while they mind theirs.
that baby borrowers show - woah. reality check
regarding teen pregnancy - only with the grandparents' (the parents of the teen parents-to-be) permission and preferrably with married mother and father (minors who are expecting). seems like puberty is happening earlier and earlier and marraiges are happening later and later. there is something wrong with this picture. I don't think being a young mother/father is a crime, but when a young person is a minor, s/he is legally the responsibility of her/his parents (assuming the norm) and her parents should have some say as to whether her/his pursuing pregnancy is okay. that said, do you know many parents/potential grandparents who would like their daughter/son pregnant before 18? Anyway, I believe some kind of protocol should be in place in society for dealing with this situation - it is not unheard of. Also whether the expecting parents are both minors or one is an adult is an issue. If either parent to be is an adult - there should definitely be parental permission from the minor's side and probably in writing/legal document or the adult could be charged with abuse. The minors' parents would have to be legally responsible for the (grand)child(ren) until their children/parents are 18. If minors become pregnant without parental permission/support I believe charges of some kind could be and maybe should be filed in order to curtail this underage pregnancy without permission stuff. Essentially, the parents of minors are responsible for offspring their kids produce, too. No minors should be getting preggers without permission. Or having abortions for that matter, but that is another subject. doctors treating minors without parental consent is a problem imhho. (now u got me on a soapbox!)
let's see dave in a speedo? *:D
