![]() Photo via Splash Jack Black is reportedly trying to lose weight so that he can do more nude scenes in the movies. To which I say: screw that noise. You know what first attracted me to Jack Black? The fact that he was an imperfect star. The fact that he was cuddly and kind of soft in the middle and the fact that he looked like the guy who used to buy you your beer when you were a college freshman. I know that there was an uproar in The Holiday when Cameron Diaz lucked out with Jude Law but Kate Winslet "got stuck" with Jack, but quite honestly, I think Kate came out ahead in that trade off. I mean, Jude Law is very beautiful. But do I want to be in a relationship with a guy who might be more beautiful than I am? You have to know that Cameron's character was probably wondering just the same thing. And so what if Jack's Six pairs up with Kate, who is obviously a Ten? Guess who is going to think he's the luckiest guy in the world! I like Jack Black just the way he is. I mean, Seth Rogen wasn't afraid to show his bare fat ass in Knocked Up. Is Jack Black going to let Seth Rogen be the bigger man? Bah. Stay gold, Jackie boy, stay gold. 6 CommentsLeave a comment |

Yay, I agree! Sure, men like Jude Law are sparkly and clean and pointy and what society tells us we're supposed to look for in a man...but I'm attracted to men, not dolls.
I find Seth Rogen and Jack Black much more physically attractive than Jude Law (although Black's screaming obnoxious personality turns me off a bit -- but we're talking about looks here)!
I'm comfortable with and even enjoy the fact that (most) men have more hair on their bodies than we women do. I would never demand my boyfriend wax his chest or his back. (And I remind him of that fact when he gets uppity about any razor-sharp stubble on my legs if I haven't shaved lately.)
I totally want more "real" men in the spotlight. While we're at it, how about more "real" women too? I don't necessarily mean thicker, I mean like women with bandaids on their index fingers, stubbly legs because they haven't had time to shave recently, etc.
Hasn't Jack run around at least semi-naked in a couple of films (Saving Silverman comes to mind, though not a specific scene, probably because I watched it a few weeks ago, yes, I own it, Neil Diamond RULES!)
You know what would be awesome? Seeing more people in movies who aren't buffed to a high polish and aren't making jokes or excuses for their tummies or booties. I want cuddly partners, not ones who'll bruise me with their sharp edges or ones who'll spend more time with that guy Gym than with me.
By the by, I didn't see Knocked Up, so I don't know about any booty in that film.
The thing I love most about Jack Black, Seth Rogan, and honestly Jonah Hill- is their realness. They all look like guys I know, and on that note- that was the best part about Jason Segel being naked in Forgetting Sarah Marshall too- that was a guy I knew, whose body isn't perfection but his comfortableness in it was. How funny will a girl have to be before she gets to pull a Will Ferrell onscreen?
I'm just a big Jack Black fan, no matter what. He's fun. He's a fun big guy, and if he gets fitter, he'll be a fun fitter guy. As a wise friend of mine once said, "Rock n roll got nuthin to do with math."
This is a little off topic, but the mention of The Holiday reminded me . . .
Did anyone notice in the final scene of the movie when everyone is together and Kate's character and Cameron's character meet and they're facing each other? Did you notice their arms?
Kate's was smaller and toned and Cam's was bigger and less defined. Seeing these girls side by side was sorta a reality check and totally goes against the popular (and stupid) notion that Kate is fat.
Jack Black and Kung Fu my Panda anytime..
Plus, I have plenty of "Universal Juice" for him!
LOL!
