![]() image via Lazy Susin My default meat is always ground turkey--it's a habit I got into, back when the low fat! high carb! OMG! kick was just starting in, and lean turkey and pounds of pasta were going to save us all from the horrors of hips and the heartbreak of high cholesterol. I developed a taste for ground turkey over ground beef, which tastes oily and greasy to me now. (It is, however, something I occasionally very specifically crave and require and might die for. Medium rare, lots of cheese and so much bacon, please! Oh yeah. I can totally has.) Usually, though, at home, it's a turkey burger that makes me happy--a shot of protein, so easy to make and easy to eat, nom nom nom. It's also easy to get into a rut with your standard-issue turkey burger, and way too easy to get bored. Thusly, gratefully, and with much love in my heart, do I say that Lazy Susin has revived me with this crazy-easy recipe adapted from The Food Network--cheesy on the inside! And they save for heating up later! I could have thought of that. But I didn't. I can sure as hell still eat it, though. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

Oh my gosh those look delish!
The BF and I make a mean turkey burger with blue cheese in it. The cheese makes all these melty-gooey pockets within the burger and it's sooo good. He's a red-meat-eater, and I'm not, so it's also a nice compromise on the burger front.
