The new promo pics for the Sex and the City movie are out, but instead of showing gorgeous vibrant women in their 40's (actually, Kim Cattrall is in her 50's), they portray idealized, lineless images of plasticine women. The airbrushing budget must have been at least six digits on this project. Let's face it, Kristin Davis has a bit of an ass on her and that's just the way it is. I know this. I accept this. In fact, if anything, it makes Charlotte's neurotic perfectionism just that much more endearing.

And Kim Cattrall? The world needs Kim Cattrall, in all of her sex bomb goodness, showing a few little crinkles around the eyes, maybe a smidge of lines on the neck. If we erase all signs of age, how can we redefine the notion of what a 51-year-old woman can acceptably wear? If we erase the wrinkles, the slightly less taut arm (check out this shot), then suddenly even Kim Cattrall--even with all the possible Botox, plastic surgery, personal trainers and hyperbaric sleep chambers at her disposal--even she can't match up to Kim Cattrall.

So please, leave Ms. Samantha Jones her wrinkles. The woman has a hot young stud of a man, has survived breast cancer and has gotten more tail than the entire cast of Grey's Anatomy combined. She has nothing to prove to anyone.

These women, in their natural, un-retouched state, are GORGEOUS!!!! Re-touching makes them look kinda freaky. Make it stop!

It's funny how everyone KNOWS that they are airbrushed/photoshop, but everyone freaks out that this is bad because people will try to live to those ideals. I mean, just get over it. People around the world are so over all of it, they see it for what it is...flashy unrealistic ENTERTAINMENT, not something to LIVE by. Americans are just so naive in that sense. It's JUST entertainment, get over it!!! =P
