Ahh! It's so cool seeing fans of The Gossip loving on Beth so much. Super fun to watch. Thanks, Daily Special!
Glad u survived Miami! That building looked like a mountain!
I, too, schedule exercise like an appointment, but the idea of scheduling extra to cover for attrition is fabulous...great idea. i do the forgiveness thing, too.
was debbie gibson the hannah montana of the 80s?
:D
i don't remember my first concert anymore! i think it was the band America at the Minnesota State Fair back in 1975 or something like that. Tommy James played our high school homecoming concert. One of the girls got up during the show and kissed Tommy on the mouth and everybody screamed. I promoted the show over the school PA to sell tickets. i edited a music bed to talk over in the AV (audio visual)dept - on tape from vinyl! Hand cut with a razor...those were the days... After the show some faculty guy told me the group wanted to meet me and he told me they were in the teacher's lounge. I went down there and when I opened the door I saw that the whole band was there in their underwear! I think they were just cooling off - they were all sweaty from the show. I shook Tommy's hand and thanked him and ran out! I don't think they were expecting me. Or maybe they were? What a (true) story...:P i saw a bunch of acts during the 80s & 90s: loverboy, nightranger, bruce springsteen, neil diamond, alabama, gregg allman, stevie ray vaughn, bodeans, little river band, dan folgelberg, kansas, reo speedwagon, the buckinghams...seems like i've been to some female acts, but i don't remember now. hmmm. it's been a while since I've been to any live shows. Like smaller venues now.
Still would like to see the Moody Blues, The Outfield and Rolling Stones...(British Invasion II?)
Is the half marathon in NYC? Is a half marathon one where you stop halfway and don't come back? I guess I don't know marathon terminology - is a marathon a certain distance and a half marathon half of that? I walked from downtown Denver to Cherry Creek Park carrying camping stuff when Pope John Paul II was in the country back in 1993 for World Youth Day. That was an incredible thing.
Papa Ratzi is in your town this week...it's his birthday today - he's 81! I guess he's a litte thing - not that tall. Amazing to be going as well as he is at 81. I guess his library has 20,000 books. Professor Pope...B16. Bingo!
Well, I have some spring cleaning to tackle as well as other chores.
Oh yes, a tune/artist for the day:
