You can never be too rich, too thin, or too famous, and usually the thin thing is a condition for the rich and the famous thing. However, check out this list from a self-acclaimed film school reject and geeky straight guy, who thinks that a few starlets who whittled away the hotness along with their curves. On the list: Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Connelly, and (duh) Posh Spice, among others. Oh no, not no longer hot. What good are they to society now?

Hey, you know what women can do? Something other than be hot. Or on a list solely because of how their sexual characteristics please or don't please a guy.

Here are five women we love for their minds first, their gorgeousness a distant second:

• Dr. Linda Buck who figured out how genes play with the body's ability to translate smells to the brain. She's a Nobel Prize winner, too. Um, hot?
  

• Imogen Heap plays with sound and her voice the way some artists play with paint and texture. Okay, she's got an eclectic fashion sense, but listen to her song "Hide & Seek" and you can't deny her musical brilliance.

• Padmasree Warrior is the Chief Technology Officer of one of the largest technology firms in the world, Cisco, and has been recognized multiple times as a woman who advances technological innovations. Plus, how much does the last name of "Warrior" rock? A lot.

• Jane Goodall's groundbreaking anthropological work with primates lead to a quintessential eye-opening moment in eco-sensitivity. Everything on the planet is connected and she held the mirror and forced us to glimpse our own inhumanity.

• Prathibha Patil is the current President of India, the second-most populated country in the entire world. She's the first female to hold the post. And yeah, she beat out a man.
