Sometimes I find something so pretty, so delightful, made in such limited quantities and so out of my budget for the month no matter how much I whine and grumble and re-do the math in my budget, that I am reluctant to share it with you. I love you, but I also love it, but I can't have it, so no one else can have it no fair no fair no fair.

Sometimes, though, I am a little older than five, and I tell you, look how beautiful these Full Moon necklaces are, from Nervous System. Each pendant's pattern is unique, mathematically calculated, patterned after natural formations of things like coral. So you can maybe tell that they're designed by kids who spent some time at MIT. The resulting lacy gorgeousness is printed on one sheet of stainless steel, and ready to be hung around your neck. Once a pattern is purchased, it is gone forever (sob), which is nice because it is so embarrassing to show up wearing the same thing as someone else. Damn you.

wow - that IS pretty cool!

Oh, I'm about to make you so happy.

This is not, obviously, the same thing (tree, not moon, not one-of-a-kind, sad) but has the very same vibe and is only $14.99. Go buy it!
