There's something about a project that makes me happy and fulfilled. Probably because it's going to involve planning, and lists, and planning to make lists and making lists in order to plan. That makes me feel safe, and happy, and organized. Even better than a project--and who knew that there could be something better than a project that keeps you occupied and interested and satisfied--is a project that includes cupcakes. An entire project! Revolving around creating the most perfect cupcake ever created! How cool is that? I'll tell you: it is so cool. How much do you want Stef to come to your house and make you a part of your project? You want it very much. Together, we can make the Manhattan Project look like peanuts, is what I'm thinking. But we won't put peanuts in our cupcakes because someone might be allergic.

Almost as good: she makes me want to start a kitchen project of my own. It really ought to be the "washing dishes" project, or the "not eating frozen dinners" project, because starting small is always a good idea, and good for you, too. But no--I want to hit the ground running. What am I going to perfect? A casserole? A stir-fry? Brownies! Something. If you were going to tackle a kitchen project, what would it be?

The funny thing is that I'm so not an organized list type person. This project, however, is so much fun! I never expected it to last as long as it has.

I'm so touched / excited that you wrote about it. I'd recommend a kitchen project to anyone. If I did another one, I think I'd do a vegetable project. It would force me to eat my veggies!
