Do you hate perfume? Do you find it too chemically? Does it make you sneeze? Do you break out in rashes? Are you tired of flowers? CB understands.

CB understands that you don't want to smell like J.Lo. CB understands that sometimes you want to smell like burning leaves, or "smoked black Indian tea, bergamot and the hint of shelves full of old books," or "a field of untouched new fallen snow, hand knit woolen mittens covered with frost, a hint of frozen forest & sleeping earth." Come on! How awesome is that? So awesome I almost don't even care what it actually smells like. I have a feeling, though, that you will smell so delicious you will have a hard time not gnawing on your own sweet flesh. Each I Hate Perfume scent is hand-designed, uses water and oil as the base (instead of alcohol), is not tested on animals, and is way too cool.

I smelled this at h's house, and it is DIVINE.

I can barely smell In the Library at all--just a faint haze of ink and dust--but I can highly recommend: Gathering Apples, Burning Leaves, Black March (especially Black March), Winter 1972, and Wild Hunt.

Yum.

Aha! Aha! You must be where my bookmark came from! Thank you very much.

I'm also very tempted by lavender tea and at the beach 1966.

At the Beach 1966 is my absolute favorite.

h, if you read this: how apple-y is Gathering Apples? I love apple scents, but prefer subtle and natural-smelling to scented-candle-type smells. What's this one like?

i love love Black March, and also the Russian Caravan Tea. i feel like a mysterious gypsy dancer when i wear it. the room sprays by cb are fab also.

Abby, it smells more like apple peel than candied apple. It's like the first bite of a big crisp apple, and after a few minutes, you can also smell a bit of leaf.

As for subtle, that's probably the biggest criticism of the line--the scents wear very close to the skin and tend to not be long-lasting (at least in the water formulation, which is the only one I've tried). I appreciate that, but I know that others don't.
