You know why I developed a shoe fetish? For me, shoes always fit. After a meltdown in the dressing room, where I might sob and blame my hideous body for ruining clothes (instead of considering the possibility that they weren't the right clothes), I could head to the shoe store and spend a happy hour cheering myself up with pretty shoes. The other thing I like about shoes? No matter how boring
your outfit is, it can be saved with the best and cutest pair in the
world. Going crazy can range from a pair of little red Mary Janes, all
the way up to the very wackiest Irregular Choice has to offer, and they've got
some wackies--which is why I love them. Their wacky, sometimes just plain
weird, is sometimes not so pretty, but it is always unusual, crazy like a
wedding cake, and usually a conversation-starter (Oh my god, your shoes!) and
they always make me happy. The Hermia style are not particularly weird,
as far as the brand goes, but they're just peculiar enough to be a breath of
fresh air, while still looking sophisticated and sexy and professional. Also,
they come in brown and pink. Sweet. 7 CommentsLeave a comment |

Those are really cute tax return shoes. Thanks.
OMG, those shoes are AWESOME!!
Its so nice to read that someone thinks like me. I have always loved shoes for the same reasons that you do - they always fit and I'm always the same size and they can always save my outfits! I am known at work for my ecclectic shoe collection and my friends and coworkers have become accustomed to looking at my feet first.
Oh, and those shoes in the pic are FAB!
I like shoes, but I just can't feel the same way as you. In the dressing room my body doesn't fit in a single thing and has resulted in many tears throughout the years... but, I have felt similarly in shoe stores because I also have wide feet. Not too wide, nothing out of the ordinary, which was what always made me feel like a freak because if my feet are pretty normal looking, why wont anything fit me? That link to that website, they have half sizes, but no wides.
oh! to add to my last entry in my venting about shoes that i love.. stores like torrid and the avenue who have and only specialize in wide feet, they are too big for my feet because I am also a half size 7 1/2. Whats a girl to do without the awesome pumps i see a torrid.
I do have a large shoe collection though, its probably because I am obsessed with shoe shopping and looking for the perfect shoe, whenever i do see a wide width that is cute it almost always becomes mine...
also, i searched the site more.. the shoes are awesome and makes me sad that they are so expensive/will never fit.
Thanks Anne. Since I looked at your link I found a totally wacky pair of boots that I HAVE to have (the metallic Peanuts model - for some reason they speak to me - http://www.irregularchoicestore.com/3380-2D-13.html). At least they're on sale.
It is true that no matter how riled up I can get about finding a pair of jeans that fit or the horror of trying on a swim-suit, shoe shopping the exact opposite - always a pleasure.
I got the can't buy clothes/shoes/jewelry blues. Nothing ever fits.
