It is possible that in the past I have flipped through Vogue and taken great and glorious umbrage at the idea of spending fifteen thousand dollars on a dress and twelve hundred dollars on a purse. I used to cringe at spending anything at all at shoes, because you can buy ten pairs at Payless for what you'd spend on one pair of fancy boots, and that's just crazy, right?

As it turns out, good shoes are usually worth the price of admission, in fit and in style, and they last a little longer than plastic ones. And the other thing that's worth a little bit of extra cash? A good bag--usually, they're sturdier, better-made, better organized and...okay, I am just justifying my great lust for the (slightly pricey) upcoming Le Sportsac collection by Stella McCartney.  Look at the delicious fabrics, the fabulous designs, the accessories, the little pockets in which I will keep all my stuff.  In a very organized and sturdy manner. --Anne
