The best thing about this time of year is that Trader Joe's brings out a bunch of holiday-centric stuff that is so delicious, like sea salt caramels and incredibly chocolatey Belgian truffles, but the best thing on the shelves this season is its Candy Cane Joe Joe's. Their traditional Joe-Joe's are basically knock-off Oreo's but TJ's has taken the concept two steps further and infused the creamy center with crushed bits of candy cane. The resulting cookie is a symphony of that perfect burnt dark chocolate and the bright springy crunch of peppermint surrounded by snowy fields of white creamy goop. Why only once a year, TJ's? You're worse than the damned Girl Scouts! Start stockpiling now, before they disappear! 6 CommentsLeave a comment |

I have heard about these cookies on other blogs, they seem to be verrryyyy popular. Unfortunately no Trader Joe's in Canada... yet? :) I think I need to start a petition.
I finally bought a box of these for Christmas and while they are very good and addictive, I still like Girl Scouts Thin Mints better.
I have a whole extra box of these suckers - they are INCREDIBLE!!! With a cup of Tea. Earl Grey. Hot., they move up from incredible to DIVINE!
We don't have Trader Joe's in Florida, either... but if you're looking for a good Girl Scout Cookie alternative available year-round, the Keebler Grasshopper cookies are almost as good as Thin Mints, especially if you put them in the freezer. :-)
We moved overseas last year & I think I miss Trader Joes more than anything else (well, except for my family. And maybe more than some of them).
My favorite seasonal TJ treat was the Winter Blend coffee - I can approximate it by adding some spices to my coffee grounds, but it's not as good :(
Top with a spoon full of mint cookie ice cream! That's a party!
