Naturalizer, I think, has a reputation for being, well, Naturalizer. Maybe not as tragic as Hush Puppies on the fashion scale, but with that same vague, general sense that they’re the brand your mom wears, not you. And you don’t have corns, thank you very much. Or not many of them, anyway.

But in this, the season of parties and looking oh so pretty, Naturalizer has busted out with some sweet and sexy party shoes, and I have to say: thumbs up and yes, please. I own a pair of the Mavens (pictured above), and I have to tell you: I am hot like the sun and have got feet that don’t hurt a bit when I dance all the livelong night. And now I want a shopping cart full of the rest of their hot little shoes, to party-hop in comfort all season long. Can you walk in three-inch heels? Screw that—can you salsa? Now you can. Fierce.

I had forgotten about Naturalizer as an option - and as a bonus, it looks like several of their pairs of super-cute shoes are on sale!

If your budget is a little (okay, a lot) bigger, Cole Haan makes awesome shoes (boots, pumps, mary janes, you name it) with Nike Air technology... talk about comfortable!!

I'm a poor college student, so I can't afford the Cole Haans yet. . . Naturalizer, here I come!

Naturalizer also has a great low-heeled, knee-high boot with extra room in the calf. I got mine at DSW for under $100.
