At STATION Studios in the Meatpacking District, I’m working out like Russian cosmonauts and Olympic athletes on the “Power Plate.” The half-hour routine on a vibrating plate is low-impact yet still kicks my butt into shape. Muscle mass and bone density are restored, not to mention flexibility, coordination and overall strength. Hey, if it’s good enough for Sting and Madonna, it’s good enough for me. —Brooke Parkhurst |
