We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but if you're like us, you're probably coasting on a Starbucks mocha and some gum right now. September is Better Breakfast Month, so in this week's Stuff Other People Are Eating, we're checking out the webiverse's morning rituals, and also, yeah, we totally made up "webiverse." Blame it on our lack of a complete nutritious breakfast.

If you're afraid of cooking with steel cut oats (aka Irish oatmeal) because it takes so sufferingly long, don't be. Roger Costello assures us that it's not scary, and this banana walnut oatmeal sounds so yummy and takes only a few minutes of actual hands-on time.

We all have thrown together a quick and easy stir-fry after work but, for some reason, frittatas sound so much harder than they really are. This potato, roasted garlic, goat cheese, scallion, thyme and cherry tomato frittata looks heavenly. Speaking of throwing shit together and eating it with fabulous results, the author considers it a dessert, but really, how can any day that starts with fresh berries, figs and marscapone cheese drizzled with honey be a bad day?

There's not a thing in the world wrong with making yourself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the morning, but if you want to take your breakfast to wear big girl pants, Lemon and Cranberry scones or goat milk yogurt corn muffins would be divine with some balsamic strawberry jam.

Supposedly these baked doughnuts are labeled "Doughnuts Without Guilt," but to us, that's redundant. There's too much stress in your life to waste guilty thoughts on liking doughnuts. If loving doughnuts is wrong, we don't want to  be right.
