The next time you have a wee bit of leftover grilled steak that is perfectly pink and rare, but not big enough to really sink your teeth into, try this: slice it very thinly, and put it in a bowl with some brown rice and steamed bok choy (or broccoli or kale or whatever other superfood green veggie you like). In another small bowl, or the dainty teacup your grandma gave you, whisk together 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar and 1/4 teaspoon toasted sesame oil. Pour that over the top of your veggies and rice. Throw in a handful of cilantro or chopped scallions and you've got a meal that feels super healthy, and more importantly, tastes super good. --Sarah McColl

You can also refresh day-old rice by scooping into a rice bowl, pouring in some hot green tea, and then topping with salty pickles, your steamed veggies, sliced leftover beef (or fish, chicken, etc.). Season at will, or not. The tea rehydrates the rice and warms the other bits. Ocha zuke. Great for leftovers and rainy days. Bonus: traditonally thought of as a good hangover cure.

(Sorry -- I can't figure out how to make pretty links.)
