Calling Adam Gilbert our fitness expert is like calling Gandhi a slim guy: it's really not the whole story. Adam is all about realizing your deepest potential and doing what's going to make you most satisfied with your life. Sure, that could be about fitness, but it's really about being honest with yourself. Adam keeps it real, yo.

If someone were going to save up for equipment for a home gym, what should they get? What are the key, indispensable, bang-for-your-buck pieces of equipment?

Save your money. Buy a pad and a pencil. Now write down exactly what you want out of your life. How do you want to look? How do you want to feel? What do you want to accomplish?

Seriously. Do this.

So many people spend countless hours agonizing over the way their body looks. Is that really the way you want to spend your time here?

Some things in this world we just can't change, but most things we can, and our body is definitely one of them!

I'm going to also bet fitting into a certain article of clothing is to going to be a goal. Go buy those clothes if you don't have them. And if they're hanging in your closet, get ready, because we're going to bring them out of retirement.

Now keep them out on your bed or chair or wherever so you see them every single day. Every morning write down your goals and keep them with you. Every time you feel yourself about to do something that's going to take you further away from achieving your goal read your piece of paper with your goals on it!

Picture those clothes. Don't let yourself not fit into them!

Save your money instead of buying equipment for the house. Most people don't use it anyway.

But if you insist, get a treadmill.

What's the biggest workout mistake that a lot of people make?

Giving up way too soon and not staying consistent. That's the biggest mistake most people make in life too. See where I'm going with this...

We were blind, but yeah, now we totally see.

He really dodged this question. Yeah I agree with what he said about goals, but come on, you need some equipment to get there. Now the good news is that you don't HAVE TO buy it. You can make a lot of it yourself with a little common sense and some ingenuity.

I like the way this man thinks, but I did think he'd suggest some alternative equipment. Like lifting heavy flour bags or something.

Well, he did suggest a treadmill... and I've been known to lift cans of soup in a pinch.
