Our girlfriend Cynthia Stadd is at it again, making us all smarter, healthier, and more delicious.

Sometimes we just don't give a shit. How do you stay motivated to keep doing what's best for your body when that bacon cheeseburger is really calling your name?

If you don't give a shit once in a while, who cares? If you don't give a shit on a regular basis, it would probably be good to figure out why. Our true nature is to value and honor ourselves and to want to live healthfully. Do you not have time to focus on it?  You might just be scared shitless about making changes and what those changes might mean. Some people are afraid to lose weight, or afraid to be seen as health nut. It's all fear. I don't think people are lazy.

Hmm, maybe you don't know us that well. Any secret tricks to increase metabolism other than cardio?

Exercise, for sure. Don't overeat. Stop eating crap. Because if you're eating crap, you're essentially slowing down your metabolism because of sugar control.

There's a lot of hubbub lately about eating locally and more and more people are interested in Community Supported Agriculture. Are there health benefits to this, or is it just an environmentally-motivated concern?

Yes, CSA's rock!! This basically means that you are buying a share of a local farmer's crop and completely eliminating the middle man. Every week, there will be a drop-off point somewhere close to you and you pick up your food--whatever seasonal, fresh food comes right from the farmer. It's the freshest food possible, cheaper than your local health-food store, no middle man for unnecessary transport and you are keeping local farmers in biz! It's a win-win for everyone. Some of these are organic, some not, but they are sure gonna be fresh so you can't beat that! Did you know that the average piece of non-organic produce sits on a truck for weeks before it hits your supermarket, and then more days sitting in the store? Transit time from crop to your mouth from a CSA is usually less than a week! Benefits: greater nutritional value since oxidation (when things hit the air) reduces vitamin content.
