Deviled eggs get a bad rap, but this kitschy canapé is always the first thing to go at the infamous Tupperware parties of your Aunt Delores. But why wait until parties and holidays? Check it: Instead of that goopy yellow blob of cholesterol in the middle of the egg white, substitute hummus and suddenly it becomes a protein-packed health food! I'm not a fan of deviled eggs, but I've heard of adding blue crab meat to the mixed part. Then they're called Blue Devils which I think sounds really cool.
Yum! I like the whites of hard boiled eggs, but the yolks always freak me out, so deviled eggs are a no-go...but I lurve hummus! Definitely going to try this out for a summer shindig this year :)
