We've had a little bit of a thing for Kate Winslet since we first saw her in Sense and Sensibility, but over the years, watching her hold her own both on and off the screen, it's almost impossible not to fall a little bit in schmoopy, heady love with her. Case in point: What kind of acting chops does it take to outshine the hell out of Jim Carrey? The man chews on scenery and yet, Ms. Winslet's Clementine made us wonder if she couldn't do a little better than his vague Joel with the weird haircut. (Note to Jim Carrey: Stay far far away from Feria's Dark Chocolate No. 45 as it makes you look a bit like a serial killer.)

Also, does anyone even remember that Kirsten Dunst was in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? No, we didn't think so. It's all Kate, baby. All the time.

So, fabulous actor, check. And without a script, her personality seems as absolutely fabulous. We may want to go shopping with America Ferrerra and watch the food porn action of Nigella Lawson, but our girl Kate has the whole package. After all, her gorgeousness is undeniable. When a luxury automobile designer announced that she was his inspiration, she griped that the car should have had bigger headlights and also, wings like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

How can you not love this woman? We ask this of you! 

If that's not enough, she sued the shit out of the British tabloids when they claimed that she had visited a weight-loss guru and had an eating disorder. And now she splits the proceeds from the settlement between three charities, including one that helps women with eating disorders.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, we ask you to consider Kate Winslet for sainthood. Ok, probably a little over the top. But she is a definite lock for our current Girl Crush. And also, we're glaring jealously at her husband Sam Raimi Mendes, because it's unfair that he gets her all to himself.
